A Man of God Fixes His Eyes on the Unseen by Walking Closely With the Father

A realistic painting of a man sitting at a wooden table with his head bowed and hands clasped in deep prayer. Jesus sits across from him, leaning forward slightly with a gentle, attentive expression, illuminated by warm golden light from behind. The scene symbolizes intimate prayer and Jesus’ close presence, with a soft cross shape visible in the background.
When you bow your head in prayer, you’re not speaking into the air — the Savior sits with you, listens to you, and strengthens you. Fix your eyes on the unseen, because Christ is closer than you think.

2 Corinthians 4:18

“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

How do you live out being a man of God?

Is it going to church?

Sending money to someone in need?

Those things matter — but they’re not what make us men of God.

A true man of God learns to fix his eyes on the unseen, even when life is loud. He knows he has hope, and he believes in it. He stands bold in his faith and is always ready to share that hope with anyone God places in front of him. A man of God leads with love, compassion, and steady confidence — not because he is naturally strong, but because his strength is anchored in the Father.

A man of God keeps his focus on heavenly things, not the temporary noise of this life. He understands that courage, boldness, and love don’t come from within — they come from a relationship with his Heavenly Father. That’s why a man of God walks closely with Him, often enough that his knees are wearing holes in the floor from constant communion and prayer. He lives with a heart that is tuned to eternity, fixing his eyes on the unseen things that truly matter.

This list convicts me — and I love it. My prayer is that this is only the beginning of the list God builds in your life. I pray you wear holes in your floor seeking God's direction, God’s wisdom, and God’s standard for the man He is shaping you to be. Your friends, your family, and your community are depending on you. What an honor it is to be trusted with so much by our Heavenly Father.

So put on your armor.

Walk closely with the Father.

And boldly love every single person God puts in your path today.

Keep fixing your eyes on the unseen by seeking God daily and obeying His lead.

Thank you, Father, for another day. Amen.

Ephesians 1:17–18

“[17] asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. [18] I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.”
