Confident Hope in God’s Promises: Beyond Wishing, Built on Faith

Black and white painting of a strong man standing on a cliff holding an open glowing Bible, with fading shooting stars and dandelion seeds on one side and a sunrise with a cross-shaped light breaking through the clouds on the other, symbolizing confident hope in God’s promises as expectation, not just a wish.
Confident Hope in God’s Promises is not wishful thinking—it’s the unshakable expectation that God will do what He said.

Romans 5:5

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

You have hope. The Lord is encouraging you today. As believers, our hope is not a whimsical wish upon a star. No—our hope is a Confident Hope in God’s Promises, a secure expectation grounded in our faith in Him and the truth of His Word.

Think about how much that changes the way you use the word hope. One kind of hope is a wish that may or may not come true. But biblical hope—Confident Hope in God’s Promises—is an expectation that God will do exactly what He said He will do. That changes everything.

Where are you today? Are you in the waiting season of God’s promises? Are you at the beginning, just starting to see His plan unfold? Or are you standing in faith, confidently expecting His promises to be revealed in your life?

The Lord is pleased with your confident expectation of His promises. So get excited! Thank Him daily for what He has spoken. Envision His promises being fulfilled. Imagine your family walking in them and worshiping the Lord because of them. As a father delights in the joy of his children, so does your Heavenly Father delight when you trust Him with unshakable confidence.

Thank You, Father, for the promises You have given each of us. We can’t wait to see them completed. Thank You, Father, for one more day to live with a Confident Hope in Your Promises.

Amen.

Romans 15:13

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
