Finding Joy in God’s Will

Illustration of a peaceful man standing in a storm with eyes closed and arms open, holding a Bible, as a beam of light shines down on him with the words "Real Joy Is Found in God’s Will" above.
Even in the storm, there’s peace in His presence. Real joy isn’t found in perfect conditions—it’s found in surrender to God’s will.

Psalm 119:1

“Joyful are people of integrity who follow the instructions of the Lord.”

Can we truly find joy outside of the Lord and His instructions? I don’t believe we can. Finding joy in God’s will means surrendering fully to Him—because that’s where true joy was created, and what it was created for.

Integrity is a key part of the life of a believer. Choosing to stay clear of moral corruption and sin makes you stand out. When we avoid unnecessary trouble or a downfall by living according to God's truth, joy follows. But as we’ve learned, it’s not only about avoiding what’s wrong—it’s about actively living in God’s will, obeying when He calls, and aligning your life with His Word.

Finding joy in God’s will isn't always easy, but it’s always worth it. When we walk in His ways, He meets our needs, shifts our perspective, and fills us with peace. Your troubles grow smaller. Your heart feels full. You’re no longer striving—you’re living in step with your Savior.

Psalm 119:1 teaches us that joy and blessing aren’t found in the world or fleeting pleasures. They’re found in a life of obedience, integrity, and deep devotion to God.

Psalm 119:2–3

“Joyful are those who obey His laws and search for Him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in His paths.”

These verses echo the message: Finding joy in God’s will requires a wholehearted pursuit of Him. No compromise. No shortcuts. Just a steady walk in His truth—one step at a time, with our hearts set on Him.
