God's Provision: When He Gives More Than Enough

Today's testimony is brought to you by our heavenly Father.
My Father has provided for my family in some awesomely miraculous ways. I made a commitment when I chose this life over my own ideas that I would share the wonders of this life with others. Since then, the Lord has given me a ministry platform, and I am honored to have the opportunity to glorify Him through it.
It has been close to 10 years, and the ministry has evolved and changed a lot. I've learned over these years that nothing is too big, too small, too embarrassing, or too disgusting to share in my purpose of glorifying my heavenly Father. My understanding has changed, my theology has changed, and more than anything, my life has changed.
You just can't predict what will touch people's hearts and what will relate to them in different stages of their lives. So, after careful consideration, I chose to share it all and let the Lord use what He chooses, and thank Him for it. I still get embarrassed and fight against some of what I feel led to share, but I trust God's plan and love my brothers and sisters more than I want to look good to others.
As you all know, I have a vehicle now. Even though I've never been without a vehicle since I was 16, now I feel the blessing in this. The Lord being so heavily involved—and me paying attention to and recognizing His hand at work—has completely changed the way I look at something that's always been normal. It's even changed the way I see my past experiences.
As you saw, the budget I had for a vehicle was pretty low. I've always said it's unrealistic to buy any used vehicle and think you won't need to do any repairs. Well, that is multiplied by 10 when you buy really inexpensive. Naturally, I have some repairs to do. The immediate repairs needed would amount to about $500 in parts. Not too bad.
On Sunday, the 13th, my family took me to lunch for my birthday, and for some reason, everyone was generous—way more than usual. Not only did the Lord provide enough money to buy the parts to repair the vehicle, but He provided extra to cover some of my desires. Bluetooth phone connection, backup camera, all the things I saw would be helpful when my wife and I drove it. Wants, not needs.
Proof my Father gives good gifts.
This was another reminder of God's provision. Life changes daily, but the Lord's provision does not. He is faithful, and that pushes me to strive to be faithful in all I do.
The Lord gave me a word of encouragement the other day: "Don't even think about provision, it will come."
Our Father cares about even the smallest details of our lives and provides in ways we can't even imagine. The money that was needed for repairs was way too much to expect as a birthday gift. I didn't know if I was going to get anything.
God provided not only enough, but more than enough.
That's what continues to amaze me about God's provision. He knew what I needed before I knew how He was going to provide it, and then He even provided for some of the wants I hadn't asked Him for.
This encourages me to approach each situation the same way: seeking Him and His answer in everything.
Thank you, Father, for one more day. Amen.
