Psalms 63:3-4
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you![4] I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
Today, I am looking back over just the last few days, and I see nothing but blessings. Of course, there were struggles, fights, or stress mixed in, but the blessings far overshadow what the enemy tried to do. It humbles me that even my weak efforts are worth blessing in the eyes of the Lord. I fall short, I make feeble attempts, but what I can say is my heart is in it. I hate my sin, and I wholeheartedly want to be better.
What an awesome God we serve—to be so just, yet so gracious and merciful. The perfect example of love is shown every time we come to Him, asking for forgiveness. This unfailing love we experience from our Father is, as David declared, better than life itself. God’s unfailing love is better than life Psalms 63:3-4 reminds us of that truth daily. In His will, He satisfies us more than anything else ever could.
Trusting Him to do something a certain way—or to stop doing something—can be a big deal for us. It’s hard to let go, especially when we think we know how to handle it. But God wants to take these burdens from us because His way is better, and He wants us to see and experience it. Sometimes the very thing you’re holding onto may be distracting you from what He has for you. Just because you think you can handle it doesn’t mean it is your job to do.
Instead, trust, let go, and follow the breadcrumbs. Stay in prayer and constantly check in with Him. This ensures you are still on the right track. Prayer is the key to your success. It is impossible to please the Lord if you don’t know what He wants from you because you never talk to Him. Psalms 63:3-4 reminds us that God’s unfailing love is better than life, and prayer helps us remain connected to that love.
Seek His face, and He will bless you. He will relieve your stress and renew your peace and joy.
Psalms 63:7-8
[7] Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.[8] I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely.
