God the Father of Good Gifts

Every blessing comes from God the Father of Good Gifts—trust His timing, receive His grace, and praise Him daily.

Here is some encouragement from the Lord as we head into a long weekend. Take time to recognize the Lord’s hand in your day-to-day life. Praise Him for the abundant blessings we receive and feel each day. The morning sun to the cool breeze—these are all gifts from the Father and should be appreciated.

Even in moments when you are in need of something, I encourage you to wait on the Lord. His plan for what you need is always so much sweeter, so much better. He is God, the Father of Good Gifts. If we wait in His timing for whatever it is we lack, His answer will be far greater than anything we could arrange for ourselves. I am a testament to that truth. He knows better, and He wants what’s best for us. God really loves us.

Psalms 103:13–18 (NLT)

[13] The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.[14] For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.[15] Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die.[16] The wind blows, and we are gone— as though we had never been here.[17] But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children[18] of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments!
