God Uses Hardship: Less of Me, More of Him.

Today's testimony is brought to you by our Heavenly Father.
This testimony is not a normal account of how the Lord miraculously saved me from the fire. I have a bunch of those, and I will share those anytime, anywhere, to bring glory to God.
Right now, I want to share a realization that came to me after prayer, reading, and seeking wisdom from others. I have been in a hardship for a little while, and what I saw made me realize it was so much more than that. It is an attack by the enemy.
Some of you may feel that was obvious, and I see that too, but for me, I didn't know if this could be just a season of life brought on by my own decisions. After seeing the enemy's hand at work, my wife, beautifully in her wisdom, said something simple. But at the time, it was profound and opened my eyes:
"The enemy is attacking your identity."
It was an eye-opening moment that completely changed the way I viewed this hardship. After praying about this, I remembered the examples we have in God's Word and how the enemy is allowed to attack, but I know it cannot happen without God's permission.
This test, even though I feel the enemy has a hand in it, is being used by the Lord. God uses hardship to grow our endurance, faith, and character. I will not back down, relying on the Lord and His goodness and mercy to carry me through.
In my limitations and reduction, God's love and grace will be amplified. Less of me so there is more of Him. In this, my reliance on worldly comfort is getting less and less, and my reliance on God is becoming more and more. Perfect! Right?
My goal is to remain steadfast during this hardship and allow my life to be reduced to the point that God's work is even more visible to the people I share this with. If God uses hardship to make more of Himself visible through my life, then I want to remain faithful through the process.
I know this is not groundbreaking or super deep stuff, but I felt led to share because this understanding really changed the way I viewed this hardship. I really want to encourage you to keep seeking out the Lord no matter what you're facing.
Remember that God actually uses those tough times to help you grow! It's a process that refines who you are, helps you build patience, and really deepens your trust in Him. When we understand that God uses hardship, it can completely change the way we walk through it.
