Psalms 148:2-3
[2] All of you angels, and all who serve him above, come and offer praise.[3] Sun and moon, and all of you bright stars, come and offer praise.
What a God we serve! In all of the beauty and wonder of creation—the sun, moon, and bright stars—we are reminded to join in praising God through creation. When we look up at the heavens, we can only imagine how vast it truly is, yet even in all of that majesty, God still loves us deeply and personally.
Our God is love. Every action He takes, every calling He places, and even every trial He allows is done in pure love. His love is always for our best interest. Sometimes pure love needs to push or pull us despite the pain. True love is knowing that the refining process is for our ultimate good.
This morning, I want to remind you of who you are and who God is. We are but a microscopic speck on a giant floating rock. That rock’s placement in the universe is perfection—balanced in just the right spot where life can thrive. Think about how hard it is to center a picture frame on a wall. Without measuring, it’s nearly impossible to get it perfect. Now imagine trying to center something when the walls have no end—no ceiling, no floor, just an endless expanse with a heat source (the sun) so far away that it can either destroy life or sustain it.
And yet, our Father nailed it on the first try. While He was at it, He filled the heavens with what looks like an infinite number of stars. It’s breathtaking to behold. Whenever I get the chance to stand under a clear night sky, I am humbled and reminded of how small my problems are. In those moments, I drift away in thought and talk to my Father about what’s truly out there. And every time, I realize that beautiful picture of the night sky is simply a reflection of His incredible love for us.
It’s a reminder of how powerful and big He is, yet how much He desires a relationship with you. The same God who set the sun, moon, and stars in place wants to help you, comfort you, and walk with you. He longs for you to join Him in the paradise He has prepared just for us.
How amazing is that?!
So if you are facing problems or hardships, let this truth help you see things in the right perspective. The God of the universe—the One who created all of heaven and earth—is on your side. That’s why praising God through creation isn’t just about awe; it’s about recognizing His love and His closeness in every detail of life.
Isaiah 40:26
[26] Look at the evening sky! Who created the stars? Who gave them each a name? Who leads them like an army? The Lord is so powerful that none of the stars are ever missing.
Thank You, Father, for another day. Amen.
