Recognizing God’s Miracles in Everyday Life — Don’t Call What God Did Coincidence

John 4:48
“Will you never believe in me unless you see miraculous signs and wonders?”
One of my greatest rewards on this side of Heaven is getting to experience or be part of a miracle. I can’t fully describe what it does to your mind and heart when something is one way, and then suddenly it’s corrected. The feeling you get and the closeness you feel with the Lord is the reward for your faithfulness. No experience compares.
Most of us believe the Lord is capable of miracles and that He still performs them today.
Some people do not.
But Scripture reminds us: seek, and you will find.
What I feel the Lord placed on my heart today is something a little different. It’s about recognizing God’s miracles in everyday life, not just the big ones that seem impossible to ignore.
Yesterday I watched a video of a man going around helping people he didn’t know. He would pretend to need money, and when someone helped him, he would reward them with far more than they gave. Most of the people he approached were poor or struggling themselves, yet they were willing to give what little they had to help someone else. That is God’s love in action—selflessness and sacrifice.
When the situation was reversed and they were rewarded for their kindness, the reactions were incredible. One woman started jumping up and down shouting, “Thank you, Lord!
Thank you, Lord! Praise you, Jesus!” She completely forgot about the man standing in front of her who handed her the reward. Her focus was entirely on praising her Heavenly Father for His good gifts.
That moment stood out to me because it was a perfect example of recognizing God’s miracles in everyday life. She didn’t credit luck. She didn’t call it coincidence. She immediately gave the glory to the One who truly deserved it.
Miracles happen all the time. Sometimes they are dramatic and undeniable. Other times they show up in quiet ways—through provision, kindness, healing, or unexpected blessings. But too often our reactions are weak. Instead of recognizing God’s miracles in everyday life, we explain them away or move on too quickly without thanking Him.
As believers, we should respond differently.
If you’re healed, praise the Lord.
If God provides when you didn’t know how things would work out, praise the Lord.
Sing to Him. Jump up and down. Get on your knees and pray a prayer of thankfulness.
We should never forget to thank our Heavenly Father for His gifts.
John 6:12
“After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, ‘Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.’”
Even in miracles, Jesus made sure nothing was wasted. The same should be true for us. We shouldn’t waste the moments where God moves in our lives by failing to acknowledge Him.
We need to put at least the same effort into praising Him as we put into praying for deliverance.
Amen.
