Sincere Christian Love in Action Begins With How a Man Treats Others

“A man kneels on a sidewalk offering a warm meal to a homeless man, with a soft cross-shaped light glowing over their hands and bold text reading ‘Don’t just pray for them. Be the answer God sends.’ Symbolizing sincere Christian love in action.”
Sincere Christian love isn’t just spoken—it’s lived. Be the answer God sends.

Romans 12:9–10 (CEV)

“Be sincere in your love for others. Hate everything that is evil and hold tight to everything that is good. Love each other as brothers and sisters and honor others more than you do yourself.”

Be sincere. Act and speak genuinely from your heart. That’s where sincere Christian love in action truly begins. When someone—especially a loved one—is talking to you, your sincerity has a much bigger impact than many realize.

When my wife says she loves me, I can see it in her eyes. She is sincere, and it motivates, encourages, uplifts, and humbles me. There is nothing better than feeling love like that. And as believers, we experience the best of the best—a love that overcomes, looks past your faults, truly wants what’s best for you, and literally saved your life.

Since we’ve already received the very best from our Heavenly Father, we are called to give our best to others. That’s what sincere Christian love in action is all about.

Sincerely wanting to help.

Sincerely wanting to give.

Sincerely wanting to love people with whatever the Lord has placed in our hands.

When a brother or sister talks to you, listen sincerely. Pray wholeheartedly for them. Help in whatever way you can. I’ve seen far too many people say, “I’ll pray for you and ask God to bring you food and financial help.” But this misses the mark. What we have belongs to the Lord, and it’s meant to be shared.

If your brother or sister is hungry—give them food.

If someone asks for prayer for their needs, and your first response isn’t to ask the Lord how you can be part of the answer, you missed the mark.

We can all grow in this. Even in prayer, advice, or daily interactions, put sincere Christian love in action. The world gives us all the fake we will ever need. The last place someone should encounter fake love is in the church or among their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Try your best to love like your Father loves you. That is sincere Christian love in action—and it begins with how a man treats others.

“Thank You, Father, for another day. Amen.”

Deuteronomy 15:10–11 (CEV)

“You should be happy to give the poor what they need, because then the Lord will make you successful in everything you do. There will always be some Israelites who are poor and needy. That's why I am commanding you to be generous with them.”
