Thanking God for a New Day: Finding Strength in Today’s First Breath

Today I am grateful to be listening to worship music while I study my Father’s Word. I’m grateful that the breath filling my lungs right now was placed there by Him. I don’t know how many more He has written for me, but with each one, I will do my best to glorify Him.
We serve an awesome God. There will be a day when the pain, tears, and brokenness of this world are no more. Just Jesus and I — face to face. That truth renews my strength and keeps me pressing forward no matter what the enemy throws my way.
I’m blessed with a family that loves me and friends who stand by me — both gifts from my Father that I cherish deeply. Each sunrise, each breath, and every moment are reminders that God’s faithfulness never ends.
So today, I encourage you: spend time alone with your Father. Let almost every word you speak be thanks. All your life, He has been faithful. With every breath you’re given, sing of the goodness of God.
Thank You, Father, for another day. Amen.
Habakkuk 3:17–19 (CEV)
[17] Fig trees may no longer bloom, or vineyards produce grapes; olive trees may be fruitless, and harvest time a failure; sheep pens may be empty, and cattle stalls vacant—[18] but I will still celebrate because the Lord God is my Savior.[19] The Lord gives me strength. He makes my feet as sure as those of a deer, and He helps me stand on the mountains.
