2 Peter 1:10 (NLT)
"So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away."
Today’s word from the Lord is: Godliness.
I don’t know about you, but striving for godliness can feel difficult and exhausting. Taking every thought captive... staying aware of my actions... being alert to the opportunities the Lord brings—it’s a lot. It’s a daily battle between my flesh and the pull of this world, against what I know to be true and good.
But it’s in this tension that we find godliness.
Not because our salvation depends on it, but because our salvation reveals it. Godliness flows from a life transformed by Christ. Our actions and good works become the natural byproduct of a heart that has been redeemed. Just like joy and peace are signs of our new identity in Christ, godliness reflects the purpose we now live for.
At its core, godliness means living in a way that reflects Jesus: walking in brotherly love, serving others, seeking wisdom and understanding, persevering through trials, and practicing self-control. This kind of life pleases our Heavenly Father and keeps our eyes fixed on His Kingdom—not on the fleeting pleasures of this world.
Every day that you choose to try… is a victory.
2 Peter 1:11–13 (NLT)
"Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, I will always remind you about these things—even though you already know them and are standing firm in the truth you have been taught. And it is only right that I should keep on reminding you as long as I live."
So today, let this be your reminder: Keep pressing on. Keep showing Jesus. Your daily trying is your success. 🙌
