Bold Men of God: Following Christ’s Example in 1 Peter 2:21-25

A powerful painting of a Christian man holding a Bible high, standing boldly against a hostile crowd. Behind him, fellow believers kneel in prayer while a radiant cross shines from heaven, symbolizing bold men of God 1 Peter 2:21-25 standing firm through persecution.
Standing firm with the Word of God, even in the face of persecution—just as the martyrs who came before us.

When things get serious, I turn to God and His Word—and I encourage you to do the same. He alone has the answers, and He alone gives peace.

Assassination. Murder. Shootings. Yesterday weighed on me to the point of tears. These kids and young adults are being controlled by the enemy, taking lives—including their own. In the eyes of our Father, it’s a double loss.

We need more boldness, like our brother who was assassinated yesterday. Can you imagine going about your day, joyful before a crowd of supporters, then in the blink of an eye waking up in eternity—finally, truly living with your God and Savior? What a reward for a life lived openly for Jesus! There is nothing on this earth that can compare. Yes, we mourn loss, but I am confident the Lord will use this in a powerful way.

From the beginning of my call to ministry, the Lord has placed a burden on my heart for the dads and men of our churches. Every part of my ministry has been geared toward raising bold men of God by building a support system of brothers who sharpen one another. We base everything on the Word of God and lead every situation with prayer. And it works!

I’ve seen brothers who once barely said “hi” at church boldly walk up to a stranger and pray for them or share about God—simply because they felt the Holy Spirit lead them. In that group, we celebrate these victories like it’s someone’s birthday!

This world needs men to stand up and be bold. We need bold men of God 1 Peter 2:21-25 who will not shrink back in fear but live courageously for Christ. Your voice matters. Your faith matters. The good news must be shared, and God has called us to carry it forward.

Praise God for another day! Amen.

1 Peter 2:21-25

[21] For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.[22] He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.[23] He did not retaliate when he was insulted nor threatened revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.[24] He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we could be dead to sin and live for what was right. By his wounds, you are healed.[25] Once you were like sheep, who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.
