God Performs Miracles Every Day—Do You See Them?

Matthew 19:26
[26] Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
Today something new is happening. I can feel it deep inside. Something has changed, and I believe something big is about to change my life. What it is, I am still praying about, and the understanding is slowly coming. It's one of those situations where only time will tell. Please forgive me for being vague. I don't want to jump the gun, but I do want you all to be a part of it.
My life has been blessed with miracles—things that I cannot explain any other way than God made a way where there was no way. For some, that may not sound like a good thing. Living a life filled with miracles often means living a life that needs a lot of miracles. I get it. I honestly have moments of weakness where I desire a life where I don't need to pray for the Lord to bless us with something as simple as a night out.
Those are tough moments, but they pass quickly because my Father is so good, and He gives good gifts.
Despite our situation, we've only needed to "sacrifice" a few times, and even then, it was never anything major. What the Lord is teaching me, my wife, and my kids is far more valuable. Love is sacrifice. If we say we love but there is no sacrifice, it's just a feeling, and we all know how unreliable feelings can be.
In those moments, the sacrifice becomes the evidence that my love and faith in the Lord are real. It looks like fully trusting Him and surrendering to His plan. In that surrender, God performs miracles in ways that would have never crossed my mind—random gifts of financial help, exercise equipment we had just prayed for, and even a sudden pay raise for my wife.
All miracles!
To recognize that God performs miracles, we Americans especially need a change of vision. Sometimes a miracle is big and extravagant, and the Lord's hand is obvious. Other times we try to explain it away.
"The money they were given was just out of the goodness of that person's heart—that's not a miracle."
"That pay raise was due to her. How is that a miracle?"
Our vision changes when our understanding deepens. How can we ignore the fact that the amount of money was exactly what we needed and the timing was perfect? That very morning we had prayed for that exercise equipment. That month we weren't going to be able to pay our bills, and every need was met in a way only our Heavenly Father could have arranged.
These miracles didn't just bless us—they blessed the people He used to provide. The giver is blessed too.
I will never stay quiet when the Lord blesses us. In sharing these stories, people are faced with a choice: Do I believe God performs miracles, or do I want to explain everything another way?

Philippians 4:18-19
[18] At the moment I have all I need—and more! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God. [19] And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
