Trust God’s Timing: The Provision I Didn’t See Coming

Today's testimony is brought to you by our Heavenly Father.
About a year or so ago, we made a plan to sell our camping trailer. Just recently, we finally started cleaning it out and getting it ready for sale. For some reason, it never felt like a priority until about two weeks ago. Then one day it just came to mind, “I need to get out there and start cleaning it out!” God gave me the motivation and energy to get out there with my wife and get it going.
It needed work—the roof had to be resealed, the siding was starting to delaminate, and it needed a good cleaning. I had plans to fix all the little issues, but as I can see now, God had other plans.
It's hard to trust God’s timing when you're in the middle of it. But now that it's over, I realize He had it all laid out. There was a purpose in the waiting.
Once we sorted out what didn’t need to be in the trailer, we put it up for sale. Within hours, we had a few interested buyers, and I knew it was going to sell fast.
Later that afternoon, a friend texted me asking if he could come see it right away. The following morning, he showed up, checked it out, made a few measurements, and bought it. It was one of the easiest transactions—no hassle, no stress.
I was so grateful. Why did it go so smoothly? How did the perfect buyer show up so quickly? What was different compared to other times I’ve listed things for sale and had little to no interest for months?
This was all part of God’s plan to provide for us.
If I had pushed through the delay and sold the trailer a long time ago, that money would have gone straight into bills—just disappeared and been forgotten. But now, in our current situation, it’s a true blessing.
That’s what happens when you trust God’s timing instead of forcing your own.
It still blows me away that God works through and even in my weaknesses. I thought I was putting something off that needed to get done, but God was using that delay for a purpose.
I believe something in me and my family changed in that time too. We’re more aware now.
More thankful for His provision. More excited to share it.
And honestly, that might have been part of His plan all along.
Learning to trust God’s timing isn’t always easy—but it’s always worth it.
Praise God.
Thank you, Father, for one more day. Amen.
