God Will Provide: Living Like the Answer Is Already on the Way

Man sitting in a dim garage holding a phone showing a low bank balance while looking at a worn car tire, with a subtle cross-shaped light in the background symbolizing trusting God to provide in financial stress.
When the numbers don’t make sense… faith steps forward anyway.

2 Corinthians 9:6–8

[6] Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. [7] You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” [8] And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

Sometimes I wake up with an “aha!” moment, and suddenly I see a solution to a problem we’re facing. I’m not sure if you experience that too, but it’s a really good way to wake up. It’s not that my mind was working through something while I was asleep—it’s that when I wake up, my mind is quiet, focused, and it feels like the Lord is speaking.

Things are getting a little better financially. We know tax money will come eventually, and just knowing that God has provided—and all we need to do is wait—is a huge relief.

What’s interesting is realizing this is the same peace I should have had from the beginning… even when I didn’t understand where the money would come from. I’m grateful for the chance to learn that God will provide, whether I see it yet or not.

What a peaceful life it would be to face anxiety and fear with confidence that God will provide. That’s where I want to live.

Our main car—my wife’s SUV—needs new tires. We don’t have the money for it right now. Honestly, that’s frustrating. I’ve always tried to fix things immediately when they break. But this was an opportunity to actually live out what I say I believe… to rest in the promise that God will provide.

In that moment, I let go.

I started shopping for tires knowing we had about $200 in the account. The tires are over a thousand dollars—but I moved forward in faith. What better way to trust God’s provision than to prepare like it’s already on the way?

Yesterday, my wife and I received a gift from a group of people—almost exactly the amount we needed for the tires.

The realization hit hard.

God used people to fulfill His promise.

There aren’t really words for that moment. Just gratitude. Just awe.

Tears of joy are becoming more normal as I seek the Lord. I’m changing. Growing. Learning to receive is a big one for me. I used to be too prideful to accept help—but there’s something humbling and beautiful about seeing how God works through His people.

The faithfulness of a few can change everything.

All glory to God.

Thank You, Father, for one more day. Amen.

2 Corinthians 9:10–12

[10] For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. [11] Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. [12] So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
