Colossians 3:17 (CEV)
[17] Whatever you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father because of Him.
This weekend was a blessing for me. My family and I went to two car shows, and they were a lot of fun! But more than the cars and engines, something deeper stirred in me. My wife and I had the conviction to wear our Bible verse shirts — bold designs she made herself with Scripture and powerful images on the back.
About 80% of the time when I wear one, someone compliments it. Those moments are encouraging because they often open the door to connect with like-minded believers or start a faith conversation. But this weekend reminded me of something even greater — how easy it is to go through our normal routines with tunnel vision, focused only on finishing the task and getting out of there.
God’s Word calls us to live differently. Living for Jesus in everything you do means showing up with purpose, ready for divine moments that might look like casual conversations. Whether it’s a car show, a grocery run, or a day at work, the Lord wants us to be ready with an answer when someone asks about our faith — or even about the verse on our shirt.
To do that, we’ve got to stand out. If I wear one of my race car or fishing shirts, I’ll blend in with everyone else. But when I dress with intention — when I’m visibly representing the King — I become a walking invitation for others to encounter Jesus.
Are you ready to be used? Do you prepare yourself each day, not just physically, but spiritually, to represent Christ wherever you go?
This isn’t just about what we wear — it’s about how we carry ourselves, how we speak, and how we respond. It’s about living each day on mission, with our hearts and actions aligned to the One who sends us.
So today, let’s make the commitment to live boldly and intentionally — standing out for the Kingdom and living for Jesus in everything we do.
Thank You, Father, for another day and another chance to represent You well. Amen.
