Stop Worrying and Trust God — When Everything Feels Up in the Air

Split image showing a stressed man at a table with bills and a laptop on top, and the same man below joyfully playing with his children in a warm, sunlit room, with the text “You’re not seeing it — God is still providing” highlighting the contrast between worry and unseen blessings.
You’re staring at what’s missing… while God is quietly providing everything you need 🙏

Matthew 6:25-30

[25] “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? [26] Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? [27] Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? [28] “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, [29] yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. [30] And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

Blessing.

I love these verses. Listening to Jesus speak must have been captivating. The love that flowed through His messages still changes lives today.

I am at a point in my life where everything seems like it's up in the air. What am I going to do next? What should I be doing now? It’s not a very comfortable situation, and to be honest, that’s how I know it’s from the Lord. I’m being pushed and pulled and stretched in ways that are uncomfortable and unfamiliar.

In these moments—when everything feels uncertain and there is no clear direction—I have to remind myself to stop worrying and trust God. I need to fall back on what I know.

Our hope has nothing to do with a job.

Our hope has nothing to do with money.

Our hope has nothing to do with paying bills on time.

Our hope has nothing to do with what the world calls a man.

Our hope is in our Father alone.

Our hope was secured when Jesus gave His life for us. Everything else is not a requirement—and can even slow us down. Worrying about status, money, clothes, or any other possession only weighs us down in this race. That’s why we are called to stop worrying and trust God, even when it doesn’t make sense.

It is essential to our faith to recognize and be thankful for the blessings we do have.

For example, I am thankful I am able to see my family every day and be a part of their schooling. I have never been able to do that. I can go on field trips with them—and it’s so much fun. A blessing.

I can meet up with people during the day. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to do that. Another blessing.

I am able to start fixing little things around our house. Another blessing.

Even though every day is a fight against my flesh—and the enemy trying to discourage me by saying a real man would be working by now—I know this: I am in God’s will, and I am blessed.

Every day is a new blessing.

Despite your situation and the pressure the world tries to put on you, we are commanded not to worry about those things. Instead, we are called to stop worrying and trust God, knowing He sees, He provides, and He is in control.

You have faith.

You are blessed.

God is for you.

Thank you, Father, for one more day. Amen.

Matthew 6:33

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
