Psalm 19:1–3
[1] The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. [2] Day after day, they continue to speak; night after night, they make him known. [3] They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
I absolutely love nature. From the time I was about 15 on, I had already been camping and backpacking many times. My dad was a nature lover and hunter, so I learned to respect and enjoy God’s creation. There is a peace that’s not easily described when you’re miles away from civilization and surrounded by the beauty of His handiwork.
At night, under clear skies, I always felt small yet deeply blessed. The heavens declare the glory of God in ways that leave you humbled and speechless. It’s like a front-row seat to our Father’s universe show—an endless reminder of His majesty.
The Lord inspired this memory today as I sit at my table with coffee, recalling those breathtaking moments. But the heavens don’t just declare the glory of God on mountaintops or during camping trips—they remind us daily, even in the ordinary. You are blessed today simply because you woke up. Don’t take a single view for granted: the smile of a loved one, the comfort of your home, the warmth of sunshine blasting through your window, or even that first sip of coffee waiting for you.
Notice the trees swaying in the breeze, the car that carried you safely to your destination, or the worship music that lifted your spirit this morning. Remember the camping trips with your kids—the laughter, the adventures, the late-night talks under starlit skies. Every one of these gifts is a reflection of the same truth: the heavens declare the glory of God, and every good and perfect gift comes from Him.
James 1:16–18
[16] So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. [17] Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. [18] He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
