Isaiah 43:2
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
What an awesome reminder and encouragement today. I was praying the Lord would give me something to share, and this verse never disappoints. Trusting God in hard times isn’t easy, but Isaiah 43:2 encouragement speaks directly to our hearts: God is with us, always.
I know quite a few people right now who are walking through incredibly tough seasons. These trials often leave us with only two options—trust God or trust ourselves. And let’s be honest, that choice is difficult. Our natural instinct is to fix problems or avoid them altogether. Yet sometimes the Lord says, enough. He shakes things up, closes a door, and turns everything upside down.
At that moment, we’re faced with a decision: Do we sit in the rubble trying to repair the unfixable, or do we put our trust in Him and prepare for a new adventure? From experience, I can tell you that clinging to my own understanding only wastes time and plays right into the enemy’s hand. But stepping out in faith—trusting God in hard times—opens the door for His new plan.
Right now, I’m in the middle of the death of an old plan and the resurrection of the Lord’s new plan. This time, I’ve decided I’m all in. I’m choosing to apply what I’ve learned of the Lord and what I’ve experienced in His faithfulness. I’m jumping in with both feet. Because Isaiah 43:2 encouragement reminds me that God is with me, God is with you—He does not move.
Jump in.
Isaiah 43:16
I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea.
God has always been in the business of making a way when there seems to be none. He parted the sea for His people before, and He promises to walk with us now. Whatever waters or fire you face today, take courage—trusting God in hard times is never wasted, because His presence never fails.
