Ecclesiastes 4:12
A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
Companionship—a feeling of fellowship or friendship—is something God clearly values. Christian companionship and fellowship are not optional add-ons to faith; they are essential to how the Lord designed us to grow, endure, and stand firm.
Having like-minded friends matters deeply. The Lord shows us again and again the benefits of walking closely with others. I can honestly say that without many of you—my brothers—I would not be where I am spiritually. I have seen encouragement, prayer, generosity, and perseverance lived out through Christ-like examples. Many of you have walked with the Lord for years, through seasons of trials, victories, and refinement.
That leads me to ask:
Who are you encouraging with the understanding you’ve gained?Who are you using that God-given wisdom to help?
If the Lord has blessed you with financial stability, wisdom, or understanding, do you think that blessing was meant only for your benefit? When we look at the example Jesus left us, the answer becomes clear. He always put others first. His mission was to speak the Word of God and love people into new life with Him. He held tightly to God’s promises and let go of what the world offered—making it easier to share, give, and even do without.
Christian companionship and fellowship are multifaceted and require intention. Praying for one another is powerful—I’ve seen incredible things come from it. But prayer needs change daily, and staying close in relationship is the only way we truly know what to pray for. Brothers showing up matters. Someone stepping in to help speaks louder than words. Giving what you have with a joyful heart reflects the heart of God. Living honestly with your brothers and sisters opens the door to blessing.
