Get Up and Walk: A Man’s Call to Bold Prayer

Bold prayer for healing at a construction site as one man prays over an injured coworker’s knee, glowing with divine light. Text overlay reads 'He Still Heals – Acts 3:6', symbolizing faith, healing, and the power of Jesus.
"When bold faith meets a hurting world, healing happens. You don’t need perfect words—just a willing heart and the name of Jesus. He still heals. (Acts 3:6)"

Acts of the Apostles 3:4–6 (NLT)

[4] Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!”[5] The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money.[6] But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, get up and walk!”

The power in that moment must have been incredible. I think I would’ve been jumping around and praising God too!

What would you do if you offered a bold prayer for healing—and watched someone’s legs be restored right before your eyes? Then they stand up and walk?! That would be life changing.

Now imagine this: what if you had that kind of power? The kind of faith that believes God can heal anything—and then He does. Here’s the truth:

You do have that power in you.

Bold prayer for healing starts with simple obedience. Prayer is powerful. I wish you could see just how many hard times you've already made it through—because prayer was the answer.

So, what’s required to pray for someone who needs healing?

You. Just you showing up.

That bold faith you express when you step out and offer a bold prayer for healing is beautiful to the Lord. From that point on, it doesn't matter whether your prayer is polished or broken—God will move as He chooses. And if that person is healed, celebrate! Praise God boldly, just like the man in Acts 3.

But let’s be honest—sometimes healing doesn’t happen the way we hope. There are unseen reasons we may never understand. Some may even reject your offer. But that’s not your burden. God knows their heart, their readiness, their story.

When I face that, I often pray that the Holy Spirit leads them to a place of inward reflection and repentance.

You don’t need all the right words. You just need to take that step out of the crowd, place your hand on the hurting, and pray. A bold prayer for healing doesn’t require perfection—just faith.

Can you imagine what that moment could mean to everyone watching?

Life changing.

We serve the same God who made the blind see and the lame walk. He can—and still does—heal today.

So be bold. Try.

Acts of the Apostles 3:7–8 (NLT)

[7] Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened.[8] He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.
