Faith Through Struggles

All of this—the pain, the growth, the protection, the blessings—is shaping an eternal glory for us. A glory that far outweighs any hardship we endure. And it will last forever. So don’t forget to thank your Heavenly Father for the “normal” days. You are blessed. Amen.

Isaiah 12:2 “See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.” Today feels different—brighter somehow. Mostly because I have about 50% of my vision back. Praise the Lord! My God gave me a victory - He came to save me.

There’s no question in my heart or mind—Jesus fought a spiritual war that night, and He won. This wasn’t just a bad dream or a strange illness. This wasn’t a coincidence.... The demon—or spirit—that was fighting for his soul lost. Kevin was returned to us.... But I know what I saw. I know what I heard. I witnessed one of Jesus's miracles that night.

“This trial you’re facing? It’s doing something. Whether you understand it now or not, your greatest growth happens when your faith, obedience, and understanding are pushed. Trust Him. Obey Him. No matter the cost. Everything seen will fade, but His promises remain. Let’s walk in obedience no matter the cost.”

“This verse is the realization that God’s plan never stops. This sickness is part of His purpose. Because of it, ‘Now, I will walk humbly throughout my years because of this anguish I have felt.’ Just because we’re sick doesn’t mean our calling is on hold. It means we’re learning deeper lessons—growing stronger by His grace. We walk humbly, even when carried.”

Living a life of faith through trials isn’t easy, but it’s in those moments we often see God move the most. My wife left a 20+ year career with no backup plan—only faith. Against all odds, God opened the exact door we prayed for. The attacks came, but so did the breakthrough. Faithful obedience led to a miracle, and now we walk forward knowing the enemy never fights what isn’t a threat. All glory to God.

Because we have the Holy Spirit in us, we must be aware of anything that stands against God—and fight to remove it. Pursuing holiness isn’t about perfection; it’s about surrender. The enemy doesn’t play fair, but God is stronger. His promises should fuel our desire to be clean in body, mind, and spirit. We have all we need through His power to start pursuing holiness today.

True strength begins in surrender. James 4:7–10 calls us to humble ourselves, resist the enemy, and draw near to God. This blog unpacks the powerful list hidden in these verses—humility, resistance, closeness, purity, and loyalty—and reminds us that prayer isn’t just connection, it’s our greatest weapon.

When life gets heavy and the enemy sets traps to steal your joy, look up. Your Heavenly Father is reaching out with love, ready to lift you from the pit. Whether you're falling or already flat on your back, He’s still there—offering restoration, hope, and grace. Let a spirit of thankfulness transform how you see the world, because even in trials, you are held, loved, and never forgotten.

Facing an attacking enemy is frightening. But God. David didn’t pretend he wasn’t afraid—he trusted. God kept his feet steady, and he didn’t trip. I pray this encourages you to live boldly, trust deeply, and obey without hesitation. If you trust in God… why would you be afraid?”

The enemy is hitting hard—physically, mentally, and spiritually—especially against my wife. As her husband, I want to punch Satan in the face. But this is spiritual warfare, and Romans 12:12 reminds me to rejoice in our confident hope, be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. I can’t fix everything, but I know God is at work, even in what I can’t understand. So I pray, trust, and hold on to hope.

God knows our limits—we do not. He knows what we can handle emotionally—we do not. Giving Him your worries should be a daily occurrence. But like children, we hand it over... then try to take it back. Armor up daily. Let go—and let Him carry the rest.

Even in my failure, God meets me with open arms. He never expected me to do this life alone—that’s why He gave us His Spirit. Though I fall short, I’m never out of reach. God’s forgiveness doesn’t walk away; it restores, corrects, and loves me through the mess.

Even in the face of death, Paul found joy through unwavering faith in God’s promises. His life, poured out like an offering, reminds us that true hope begins with trusting in the victory over death through Christ.

When life feels impossible, remember this: we serve the God of the impossible. Just as He gave Daniel divine insight and Elijah supernatural strength, He still moves in power today. Don’t limit Him to what makes sense in your mind—His ways go far beyond. This blog reminds us to trust the God who still performs miracles.
